First Look at .hack//Link PSP Screenshots

Today we got our hands on some brand new artwork and screenshots for the upcoming manga adaptation of .hack//Link for the PSP. The game is in development by Japanese studio Cyberconnect 2, who were responsible for previous iterations of the game on the PS2 console. .hack//link PSP is going to be a third person action game with a heavy cooperative multiplayer component. Characters that you meet in the game from the .hack universe will join you on your quest to defeat the Schicksal Group.

Early character designs, cutscenes and gameplay from the game look quite nice. Judging from the quality of the screenshots below, the game is pretty far along in development and will most likely make its spring 2009 release in Japan. A Western release still hangs in the balance, but we are optimisitcally expecting a localized version to follow.
