Electronic Arts have just released a press release capitalising on the current Hollywood writer's strike. Well it 's kind of natural that many would turn to alternative entertainment such as gaming, even though gaming is becoming the dominant form of home entertainment these days.

Here's the piece with a nice pack of current and upcoming releases:

As the writer’s strike continues to torpedo scripted television, EA is heating up the videogame market! According to a survey released last week from new-media consultancy Interpret, TV viewership has suffered because of the strike, while 26% of people surveyed said they are spending more time playing video games. Games are the perfect alternative to TV – especially as Burnout Paradise, one of the best games of the year, just hit store shelves yesterday.
