Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce Extended Trailer

Koei boss Kenji Matsubara has already publicly stated that his company wants a piece of the Monster Hunter action. That is, he'd like to see one of Koei's franchises achieve even a fraction of the massive success that Monster Hunter Freedom has enjoyed on the PSP (the game has sold over 2 million copies to date). The franchise that Matsubara and Koei have decided to run with is, unsurprisingly, Dynasty Warriors. Like Christopher Walken in that famous Saturday Night Live skit, it seems that this company has one answer for any question involving games: "It just needs more Dynasty Warriors!"

Their project, which is clearly trying to bring together all of the ingredients that have made Monster Hunter so popular, was initially dubbed "Multi Raid", presumably because it allows, well, multiple people to go on raids. The game also features 4-player coop and giant, mythincal creatures taked directly from Chinese legend. Koei has recently re-named the project Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce. The company has also released a brand new extended trailer, showing off some sweet CGI, rocking guitar riffs, and even a little dash of gameplay. Check it out below:
