Don't Call Them Minis: Microsoft Goes Mobile with Phone 7 Games

This week at the GamesCom event in Cologne, Microsoft revealed that it is preparing to roll out Xbox Live style games on its new Windows Phone 7 mobile platform. Windows Phone 7 games will initially be supported by content from Microsoft Game Studios (MGS), with additional third party support presumably to follow. If this sounds suspiciously similar to Sony's PSP Minis format, that's because it is. Rumor has it that Sony will be unveiling a similar plan to port PSP-branded games to mobile phones.
