Dissidia European Release Date and Special Edition

European gamers are used to getting screwed on release dates, particularly when it comes to Japanese titles that often appear months after their North American counterparts. Presumably, the reason is because games must be translated into many different languages for Europe and Japanese games often conatain a lot of text. That will not be the case with Final Fantasy: Dissidia, however. The game will arrive on September 4th in Europe, a mere 10 days after the title lands in America on August 25. Plus, Square Enix is promising a special edition bundle that has some cool goodies unique to PAL territories (details below).

Celebrating over 20 years of world's most popular adventure game series, Dissidia brings together the largest cast of Final Fantasy characters ever assembled in a single game. The most famous heroes and villains will now collide in a war that threatens to tear the world apart.

Part fan-service, part brawler, Dissidia is sure to please fans of the Final Fantasy universe.

Through expansive 3D environments, players can glide through the air, dash along walls and perform summons familiar to fans of Final Fantasy.

For a limited time, Dissidia will also be available in a collectors edition. Featuring unique clamshell packaging and containing a special soundtrack CD, Lithograph prints, Brady Games Official Miniguide and a 48-page The Art of Dissidia hardback artwork book.
