D3 Publishers Issuing Classic Games Via Download

The PSP has always had its feet planted in two separate eras. On one hand, the device comes equipped with an expandable memory slot for flash storage. On the other hand, the machine is tethered to an optical format in a time when game publishers are increasingly moving towards a digital distribution model. D3 publishers, makers of the runaway success Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, have announced that they will be publishing their back catalog of PSP titles for download on the PlayStation Store later this year. That means that PSP owners will be able to grab these titles and play them directly from the memory stick without the need for a pesky UMD. Even better, with the recently announced download-from-anywhere improvements planned for the PSP, gamers might not even need to use their PCs to access these titles.

Unfortunately, not all of D3's PSP games were huge hits, but there are a couple of hidden gems here for those who missed them the first time around:

  • Dead Head Fred ($14.99)
  • PQ: Practical Intelligence Quotient ($9.99)
  • PQ2: Practical Intelligence Quotient 2 ($14.99)
  • Cube ($9.99)
  • Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords ($14.99)
  • WTF: Work Time Fun ($9.99)
