Confirmed: Target Dropping UMD Movies

Though there is yet no "official" word from the upper echelons, it has been confirmed to GamePro by a Target customer service representative that the rumor reported on yesterday is indeed true - the retail giant is dropping UMD movies from all of its stores. As GamePro points out, a recent Reuters story has suggested Wal-mart may also be thinking about pulling UMDs from their shelves. With two of the top retailers in the country looking at or having already done this, things seem to be looking bad for the UMD's future as a movie media platform.
