Chinatown Wars Headed to iPhone

Rockstar, you big tease. First we were annoyed because the latest entry in yor adult-themed Grand Theft Auto franchise abandoned us for the Nintendo DS. Then you hinted like you were ready to make up and would never break our hearts again with your wandering eyes. But now, you go and dump us once again for the hot - and touchable - iPhone.

In case you haven't guessed, Rockstar Games today announced that Chinatown Wars will be making its way to the iPhone and iPod Touch later this fall.

"Chinatown Wars is a perfect match for the iPhone and iPod touch," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. "We are very excited to bring this incredibly ambitious version of Liberty City, with this level of detail and immersive gameplay on Apple's new gaming platforms."

Last month you told us that Chinatown Wars was a "perfect match" for the PSP, Sam Houser. So, which is it? We are inclined to think that because the game features so much touching, it might not be that great on the PSP after all. Since Rockstar can't seem to make up its mind about which platform this game is intended for, we are officially removing it from our 2009 hit list, in a fit of jealous rage. If there is one small consolation for PSP owners who are now feeling used and abused by the folks at Rockstar it is this -- the game looks incredibly good on our wide, high-definition screen.

what Chinatown Wars on the iPhone may look like.
