Cardinal Arc Portable is actually a card-based RPG fighter, Get it? YUKE's of America announced today that a PSP version of the Japanese PS2 title, Cardinal Arc: The Neverland Card War is coming our way this October. The portable version will essentially be a straight port of the original game, with new cutscenes, ad-hoc multiplayer and support for 16:9 widescreen mode.
The original Neverland Card War was immensely popular in the PS2 in Japan, but never made it to North America. In the card-based strategy game, you play a young Dominator named Galahad who seeks to banish an evil god and end the war between humans and demons that threatens to destroy the world. The gameplay takes place on a battlefield, where players fight over terrain. Conquering territory held by the enemy gives special attributes to card attacks.
There aren't really many other games like this one on the PSP, so it will be interesting to see if the title can recreate its own success outside of Japan. Look for more information and a full preview here as the game get's closer to its release date.

There is a card battle game hiding somewhere in here.
