Blood Bowl Finally Arrives on PSP in America

SouthPeak Interactive has finally brought the strategy football game Blood Bowl to the PSP system in North America. We've been patiently waiting for the title since it was announced back in December. A faithful adaptation of the legendary Games Workshop tabletop game, Blood Bowl was released earlier this year on the Xbox 360 console. Now, handheld game fans can tackle opponents in bloodthirsty Blood Bowl matches on the go.

Blood Bowl, is a hard-hitting turn-based strategy game performed in the style of American football. But this is not a straight-up sports title: gameplay mechanics are determined by random rolls of the dice. Players can utilize the PSP system's ad-hoc multiplayer mode to take on their friends using custom teams or their choice of classic tabletop-inspired sides. For between-match practice, a huge array of single-player options are also available, including a full-fledged campaign mode to dominate the Blood Bowl world one cup at a time.

"We're thrilled to release a portable offering in the Blood Bowl video game lineup." said Richard Iggo, Head Coach of the SouthPeak Skavens. "It's never a bad time for some Blood Bowl, and we're always looking for excuses to practice the latest mighty blows with as few real-life catastrophic injuries as possible!"

Blood Bowl's North American handheld introduction kicks-off today for the suggested retail price of $29.99
