Best Buy Offers PSP Go for $149 This Weekend

It was only a few weeks ago that Amazon cut the price of the PSP Go down to $199 USD, and already we've got another price drop on the way for Sony's 'premium' handheld. Best Buy shops in America will be selling the device for a reduced $150 this weekend in a special offer. It is a limited sale, so you might want to make sure you get there early if you want to snag one of these puppies.

The PSP Go features 16 GB of on-board memory and no UMD drive. Games are downloaded directly to the machine via Sony's online shop. One constant complaint of gamers is that the price for these digital downloads is often more expensive than for the same title on UMD. We can see how that would get annoying, and Sony should really think about dropping the price of software before worrying about the price of the machine itself.

Another caveat emptor: for some bizarre reason, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep will not be releasing as a digital download for the PSP Go, so if you want to play that specific game, you should steer clear. For the rest, however, this might be just the bargain they were looking for.
