A Dynasty Joins The Sony PS Vita Launch Games

A dynasty has just been confirmed to have joined the launch games line-up for the next-generation Sony handheld, the PS Vita.

We are not talking about any typical dynasty, but the next iteration in the historic Dynasty Warriors franchise.

Dynasty Warriors NEXT is has been confirmed by Tecmo KOEI to be a launch game on the Sony PS Vita when it released on February 22, 2012 in the U.S., as well as Europe.

Tecmo KOEI confirmed the announcement this week, much to the excitement of gamers.

The Dynasty Warriors franchise has always been known for its fast-paced, action-packed gameplay which should lend itself well to the handheld.

The game has been confirmed to feature a brand new gameplay set-up, a first for the franchise.

Dynasty Warriors NEXT will make use of both the multi-touch screen of the PS Vita, as well as the rear-touch panel sensor.

There is no word just yet as to how they are going to make use of all of these controls, but the possibilities are endless.

The game is said to make great use of the hardware in the PS Vita, with local play, as well as the ability to play over Wi-Fi, 3G, and via a GPS connect technology, to find players based on location.

With over 65 playable characters confirmed for Dynasty Warriors NEXT, as well as the return of Edit Mode to create your own warriors, the Sony PS Vita launch has just got itself another quality release.
