The launch line-up for the upcoming Sony PS Vita handheld has expanded yet again as Codemasters has confirmed that F1 2011 will launch with the next-gen handheld.

Codemasters made the announcement this week that F1 2011 would release alongside the Sony PlayStation Vita on February 22, 2012.

F1 2011 is going to be releasing along with a stacked line-up of games already confirmed, including Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Ridge Racer, Touch My Katamari, among others.

There have been a plethora of details already unveiled in regards to the upcoming PS Vita launch title, and we wanted to highlight some of those great features here.

The racer is going to be just as in-depth as the console version that hit the Sony PS3, and will include a full season mode, along with other classic game modes including Grand Prix individual races, time trials, and more.

Beyond it being just a straight port, there are going to be many elements to the game that are going to be geared more toward the handheld crowd.

This is going to first and foremost include a series of mini-games for those who want to take the game in pieces when you only have a few minutes to play at a time.

Another very cool feature is going to be the use of the rear touchpad of the Sony PS Vita. What this is going to allow is to act as a gearbox in a sense so that gamers can quickly change gears as they are racing along.

A very strong set of online features round out what seems to be game that is poised to be one of the more polished Sony PS Vita launch titles.
