Prinny: Can I really be the Hero? is a new action-platformer from NIS that seems to be on everyone's lips these days. Based on the Japanese RPG series Disgaea, the game follows the trials and tribulations of the lovable Prinny army, mobilized to rescue a very important dessert belonging to demonic pricess Etna. What happens along the way is that your Prinny character will take abuse at the hands of truly frightful enemies. The game's developers have bragged that Prinny is "one of the weakest video game characters, ever." Making Prinny: Can I Really be the Hero? one of the toughest platformers to come along since the heydayof 16-bit sidescrollers like Ghosts n Goblins. Hiding its punishing difficulty level, the game has a bright and colorful anime art style, showcased in the trailer below.
