Have you ever wanted a lawyer that was a superhero as well? If so than Harvey Birdman Attorney at law is the lawyer for you. Capcom has teamed up with Cartoon Networks Adult Swim to bring you this handheld title based on the hit cartoon. Sit back gamers and have your evidence ready for this review from yours truly Quan.

“I’ll take the case!” Famous words straight from Birdman himself, same for me as I lay judgment on this game. Right at the start of the game there is a crime being commited and of course the wrong person or Hippo I might say is being accused. Your friend Peter Potamus is being accused of burning down your home and of course he comes to you for help to prove his innocence. What else can you do but help your friend in need while also making sure you is paid for your efforts. You have the pleasure of seeing all the cast members of the show while hearing funny commentary that pushes the game along.

The great part of the game is full voice acting and animation. There are no still pictures involved into this game which is a big plus in my opinion. Each case you will interact with, you will have to present evidence and press witnesses in the hopes to find the truth and nothing but the truth! On the right hand side of the screen you have the Birdman emblem which represents your health. Now if you present the wrong evidence during your cross examination, then an emblem is taken away. Try to listen very carefully as you interrogate witnesses and the accused.

The fun and quirky characters through the game are very entertaining while you are playing. It has the same spirit as the cartoon series did, which I give a thumbs up too. Sometime game developers miss that certain element when they try to make a game based on a cartoon. You can move around the city lookign for extra evidence and examine suspects. That adds more to the game than expected.

Now I will bring evidence to the court that brings a bit of a problem to the game. The simple fact that it plays as if you are watching a cartoon bugs me. Little bits of interaction are not enough. In my opinion replay value would of brought some more to the game. I still don't believe it is worth the full $29.99, because technically you are still watching the TV show.

My final summary I have to make for this title. The game has funny game -play that fans of the series will enjoy, especially with all the original voice acting involved. Epected more of a free roam control mode instead of being in first person looking for evidence. Interesting to add dialouge to choose, however the game gets repetative after a while. I honestly don’t see much replay value since there are no multiplayer modes. I would say rent this title if you are not much of a fan. I will have to give Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law 3 Avengers out of 5. Case Closed!

Genre:Adventure
Developer:High Voltage Software
Publisher:Capcom
Pros:Funny commentary and great voice acting from the cast of the series.
Cons:Game play is not that challenging. Could use free raoming instead of jumping to areas for evidence gathering. Ending each case with credits leaves a bit of confusion and not much replay value.
PSPworld Rating:2 out of 5.
