Grand Theft Auto for PSP not until December?

The forthcoming Grand Theft Auto PSP game won't see the light of day for several months if Amazon.com is correct. The online retailer says the game is scheduled to be released on December 15, 2005 for $49.99. Rockstar Games said...

Rockstar Games said in a financial report last month that the PSP version of Grand Theft Auto will be released in the third fiscal quarter of 2005. While not much is known about the PSP GTA title, Rockstar has confirmed that it will be set in Liberty City.

I wouldn't trust Amazon too much when it comes to estimated dates; something is wrong with their system, I suspect. I pre-ordered Hellboy, and when I received an e-mail that it shipped, it had an estimated arrival date of December 5, 2005. In other words, my UPS Ground shipment would take about 8 months to arrive. Hm... needless to say, it arrived in about 5 days.

Well, if it was coming out in Q3, we would at least start seeing screenshots of it. Wouldn't we? December sounds believable.

December is probably right but not seeing any screenshots doesn't mean much. Rockstar has a habit of not releasing any images or details of its GTA games until very late. Last year they didn't show a thing of GTA at E3 and only released a single screen shot a few weeks later.

GTA for the PSP WILL BE released on May 17, I have Pre-ordered my copy and got a confirmed date.

I work at a gamestop and it was set to release may 4th or 5th I can't remember, but it just got pushed back in are system to the 20th of july.

So it's coming back to Miami, huh ? Wonder how many folks even KNOW where Liberty City is....Well...hopefully they will portray it right. And for the record, nobody start jibber-jabbing about East Coast - West Coast.
