Chinatown Wars PSP Looks Better than DS Version

Rockstar games has released some screenshots for its upcoming top-down crime simulator, Chinatown Wars. This title takes the franchise back to its old-school roots. But there is nothing old-school about the graphics, which now show Liberty City brought to life in magnificent detail, even if the perspective remains locked to an overhead camera like in the old games. Compared to the DS version of Chinatown Wars, the game looks downright spectacular on the PSP. There are now fancy lighting effects for explosions and car headlights, and everything looks a little more realistic on the wider screen. The only possible complaint we can imagine having is that the PSP will lose the extra map screen, which was convenient - and necessary - while navigating the world on the lower-resolution DS version. We definitely think that Chinatown Wars could turn out to be one of the hits on PSP in 2009.
