Here's How to Get 32 GB of Storage on Your PSP

micro_sd_icon.png

The largest Memory Stick Pro Duo that you can currently buy for your PSP tops out at 16GB. That is plenty of room, but we know there are some packrats out there who like to store everything on their PSP at all times – including every PS1 game ever sold on the Playstation Store and the first 5 seasons of Battlestar Galactica. But what about that 10-disc set of obscure European trance techno? For that, my friends, you are going to need something a little bit bigger.

Well dawg, one company heard that you like to store a lot of data on your psp, so they put a card inside your card so you can store while you store. Or something. The Micro SD to Pro Duo adapter from Photofast allows you to put two MicroSD cards inside your PSP at the same time. Since MicroSD sizes range all the way up to 16GB per card, that means you can fit roughly 32 GB of storage on one of these bad boys.

The best news? The card works super fast, so there is almost no additional lag while copying over files. We were able to find a couple of 16GB Micro SD cards at Amazon for $52 each, so that brings the total cost of this Frankenstein monstrosity to around $124 USD. By contrast, the 16GB Sony stick currently goes for around $90, so this is a heck of a good deal for twice the storage capacity.
