PSP Go Accessories Include Cradle and Video Out

Those of you who have seen the new PSP Go might have noticed that the specs for the device do not yet mention the video-out feature of current model PSPs. It also uses a new, proprietary USB connection for data transfer, meaning that the old USB mini cables we have all be hoarding will not work with the new machine.

There is some good news for video packrats with large screens, however. One of the accessories available for the system is a docking station that will enable users to recharge their PSP unit while watching movies or listening to music. The new Cradle (PSP-N340) is specially designed to hold the slimmer PSP Go hardware. From the dock, you can then connect a power cord, USB transfer cable and video out cable, allowing you to watch content and transfer files while your PSP Go is charging. Grab the PSP Go cradle on Amazon for $28.

The new cradle will keep your PSP Go from wandering off alone.

The line-up of essential new PSP Go accessories also includes a video-out cables to allow users to enjoy games and videos on their TVs at home. The official Sony component cables are the best choice if you have a high-definition TV set (720p or higher). These cables allow you to output movies and games from your handheld directly to the screen in crisp 480p. They are aso compatible with the PSP Go cradle, allowing you to leave it connected to your TV display at all times. The component cables also minimize motion blur and provide a nice clean image for gaming on the big screen. You can purchase the video out cable from Amazon for $29.
