Hannah Montana Gets Lilac PSP

Watch out PSP owners! Sony is targeting what they call the "tween" female demographic, and that can only mean one thing: Hanna Montana is coming to our sleek black handheld. Of course, girls aged between 11-14 generally don't like their game devices to be colored black, so Sony has come up with a new color scheme to mark the release of the planned game.

A lilac colored PSP bundle will ship this summer, along with a copy of the Hanna Montana game, a 2GB memory stick, episodes of the TV show on UMD, and stickers to adorn the PSP even further. We don't yet know if this bundle will be the only way to snag a lilac PSP, but we kind of want one. Check out an official photo below to see what we mean.

The Hannah Montana game, developed by Disney Interactive, is a music rhythm title that will allow players to design and perform as the female singer while on tour. Think of it as Hannah Montana meets Rock Band.

To further cement its new status as a tween girl accessory, Ubisoft has announced that it will bring its Petz lineup of portable games to the PSP in 2009 as well. We aren't sure what to think about all of this shovelware suddenly appearing on our favorite handheld, but considering how much of it has already turned up on the super-successful Nintendo DS, maybe it means that the PSP has finally "arrived".

Even if we have to buy the Hannah Montana game to get this PSP, we might do it.
