ChickHEN Homebrew Compatibility List

We reported yesterday that the PSP-3000 has been unlocked for homebrew applications (but no ISO pirate games). What does that mean? Well, thanks to the ChickHEN homebrew enabler, PSP owners can enjoy some of the interesting programs created for the handheld by independent programmers. There are many useful tools, applications, emulators and games that have been created over the past several years. Because the creators of ChickHEN wanted to keep piracy off of the PSP, they have disabled the firmware functions that would normally allow ISO backups to run. This unfortunately means that some legitimate homebrew is not yet compatible with the system. Most of it is though, and we have a list of all of the great programs that are already confirmed to work with the ChickHEN loader.

I thought they hadn't been able to do that yet and were still working on trying to figure out how to run ISO's but it turns out they disabled running of ISO's?!!! THIS IS INSANE! We need some software engineers to reverse engineer ChickHEN to get ISO's running. If they do that then the (late) PSP Slim's and the PSP 3000's will be completely hacked

I'm kinda glad that the ChickHen has disabled the .ISO backups from running, future developers of psp games can at least know they will be paid for there efforts and develop even more great content.

I'm not glad they disabled the feature, but I suppose I understand. I have many legal and perfectly logical reasons for wanting iso boots and such. I want to back up the UMD's I paid for, so I can get better battery time (no disc spin up), lighter PSP, and faster load times. I support the developers (PSP games aren't that expensive to begin with... most are $20 or less these days). I would appreciate not carrying all my discs around with me and such. If only...

NIMPSP, DIGGERPSP, PSPWRITE, POWDER 1.1.1, PSPCOMIC (via eLoader), LightMp3, NPaint, PSPNETHACK, PSPDictionary, Links2 standalone, PSPMoney v3.0, PMPlayer Advance, Themes Downloader v1.0 all work on my chickhen r2 2000 slim psp

if you have chickHEN installed then getting any custom firmware is easy to install. just download Hellcats recovery flasher. its not a custom firmware but it will allow you to install 3.71 m33 CFW. it works because Hellcats recovery flasher is a homebrew app.
