Accessory Overkill: Gold-Plated Video Cable for PSP

psp_component_icon.jpg

Are you the type of obsessive audio-video fanatic who counts pixels and only buys the most high-end equipment? Well, accessory manufacturer Blaze promises to help squeeze every last drop of big screen graphical excellence from your brand new Sony PSP Go. The company today announced that is will begin selling gold-plated component cables to connect the PSP Go to a large screen when the handheld goes on sale this October. Sony also sells its own cradle and cables to connect the PSP to your telly, but those probably won't be gold-plated.

The high definition component cable is slight overkill considering that the PSP can only output a signal at 480x272, far lower than any flat screen TV on the market. Still, there are some who will argue that expensive cables make everything look better. Blaze tells consumers that 'the gold plated connectors allow maximum signal transference with progressive signal performance for the ultimate in big screen PSP Go gaming.' Ah yes, the all important issue of signal transference.

"This high quality and highly durable connector from Blaze gives you the ability to play games, watch videos and view your photos on your big screen TV quickly and easily due to its simple plug & play functionality," says the company. But the cable is only 1.5 meters long, so you'd better be prepared to sit close to that screen of yours.
