EA announces E3 lineup

EA today announced its lineup of games for the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). The lineup includes seven PSP titles, several of which had been announced previously. Madden NFL 06 is the only title which hadn't been previously announced or posted on Amazon, but new details for The Godfather were also announced, along with expected release dates for the rest of the titles.

"What EA is bringing to E3 this year is a culmination of years of innovation, creativity and dedication to making games that consumers want to play," said Don Mattrick, EA's President of worldwide studios. "The games we have in development across platforms are unprecedented, especially when complimented by our next generation offering -- EA's line-up truly is a gamer's dream come true."

In The Godfather, you'll be accepted into America's most powerful criminal organization the Corleone Family. As the game goes on you'll carry out orders and earn respect in order to rise through the ranks and eventually gain control of New York City. You choose your own path as you interact with characters and intersect scenes from the movie. The missions range from mob hits and bank heists to drive-bys and extortion.

Madden NFL 06 features a completely re-done passing game -- utilizing features such as QB Vision Control that lets you scan the field, look off defenders, and make throws within your quarterback's unique field of vision. The QB Precision Placement feature lets you put the ball exactly where you want it. Also new for '06 is the ability to experience the life of an NFL Player with NFL Superstar Mode, where you can earn one of more than 60 Personas ranging from MVP to Movie Star.
