Buena Vista Home Entertainment has announced the release dates for six more UMD movies. "King Arthur: Extended Unrated Director's Cut," "Tron," "Hostage," and "Cursed" will be released on June 21, while "Kill Bill: Vol. 2," "Armageddon," "Gone in 60 Seconds: Unrated Director's Cut," and "From Dusk Till Dawn" will hit shelves July 19. Daniel Silverberg, business development executive director at Buena Vista Home Entertainment, said that the Disney/Pixar hit "The Incredibles" might be available before Christmas. UMD versions released simultaneously with Buena Vista's conventional DVDs is going to become standard, Silverberg said. Pricing was not announced.
tashpool: Now if they can only release DVD + UMD combination movies, that would be sweet. I wouldn't pay much more for it, but I would pay a small amount more to have both versions.
Mookie Kong: I agree, they should make bundles...UMD+DVD for like $5 more than just DVD by itself. There is no way I am shelling out $15-$30 just to get a UMD version of a movie when it's out on DVD with extras and stuff.
that sounds like a dope idea. release the dvd with the umd.. for a fraction more..: real damn good idea. the incredibles was a dman good movie too. i cant wait for that one.
