The PSP waiting game

Mar 23, 2005 - 06:54 PM

wait.jpgThe PSP will be rolled out on the east coast in approximately five hours. Retailers are bracing for massive demand for the device. "We will have 1 million units on store shelves starting tonight, and expect them to sell very quickly," said Sony's Patrick Seybold.

Select stores will be opening up at midnight, while others will be opening up early tomorrow morning (like Best Buy). Since large lines formed very early this morning at the New York and San Francisco Sony Stores (see pic), and GameStop stores basically only have enough for pre-orders, and Target isn't doing the midnight thing, your best bet is to head to your local Wal-Mart and get in line asap. Rik: Funny...i didn't have to wait a sec. I just walked in to a Target in Charlotte at 8:10am this morning and i was the only one there. They had about 40 or 50 PSP's. I picked one up with Ridge Racer and THUG
