Minna No Golf Portable (Hot Shots Golf) Cheats

Unlock all characters
In single player mode, swing and miss your first two shots. Then hit the ball three times perfectly. If done correctly, all characters will be unlocked.

This cheat has been confirmed for the Japanese version only.

Ted: I have tried to do this, and I can't seem to figure it out. Is this real? Has anyone done it? The thing is, how do you swing and miss? Every time I swing, I hit the ball, no matter how hard I try to screw it up. Also, when it says hit the ball "perfectly", does this just mean hitting the sweet spot? Or do you also have to have 100 percent power in the shot, and aim it toward the hole etc.? Also, when it says you have to be in "Single Player Mode", does this mean any game where there are no other players? Can you do it in the single-player challenge mode? Finally, when you unlock the characters, can you save afterward and save the characters for future use? Sorry to ask so many questions. I have found this cheat mentioned on a number of web sites, and they always word it the same way, and I find it to be confusing in many ways. Thanks. Ted
